Of weddings and marriage...

I just got back from the wedding of a co-worker, and I have been reflecting on marriage and life. We celebrated our 5 year anniversary about a month ago, and there are a few lessons I learned about making love last.
  1. Never even think about divorce, much less talk about it...
  2. Take a walk at least twice a week. It is a good chance to connect with each other away from the television, computers, and other distractions.
  3. Nothing worthwhile happens without cultivation. Think about all of the time you spend on work, hobbies and friends. Then weigh that against what you invest in your marriage. If you spend more time on others than your spouse, rethink your priorities.
  4. Never lie about anything. If you need to hide things from your spouse, you need to think hard about why.

Happy 5 year anniversary, David!

Love the layout that you did!

You mean that we're supposed to actually tell our husbands how much money we spend on scrap supplies?!?!? LOL!
