Who can resist this face?

Today, Jonathan is 3 weeks old. Can you believe it? I am still getting used to being a mom, and he is still getting used to being out in the world. I have figured a few things about our little boy in the past few weeks.

1. Jonathan has curly hair like his daddy! David is one of the few Chinese Americans who have curly hair. And his son takes after him... We washed J's hair today, and it is noticably more curly than the last time he took a bath.
2. J likes to sleep with his arms up like he is surrendering. He is plastered to the Pack n Play with his little arms sticking up over his head.
3. J is totally addicted to the pacifier. He loves to suck on things, his hands, my arm, his daddy's neck, and more. I have even seen him dreaming of his pacifier and making little sucking motions while he is alseep. He does accidentally knock his pacifier out of his mouth with his little hand. Then he cries up a storm.
4. J has a flair for the dramatic. When he cries, he puts his whole heart and soul into it. None of that soft sobbing for him. Only wailing for this little one.
5. J likes to held. He likes to feel of his mom, dad or grandparents rocking him. He is a people person.
6. J is a heavy heavy sleeper, just like mom and dad. Wild elephants can run through the house, and I am sure he will stay sleeping. When we wake him up to feed him, he is completely dead to the world and will not get up for anything.
7. J knows what he wants. When we are feeding him and he does not want anymore, he stickes his little nose up in the air, purses his lips, and shakes his head as if to say, "No more for me, thank you!"

I have learned feed him with one hand and type with the other. Today, during one feeding, I put together 2 pages of the MR Consumer Newsletter. I am learning how to fit in family and work. It has been a little crazy, but so worth it!
