A day in the life of Jonathan and me... (Memory Trends Sneak Peek enclosed)

Let's start with a sneak peek... Here are our two new ribbons slides! I am used to going into work and coming home 10 to hours later. Then eating dinner with David and starting my time on Maya Road (with some time set aside to go through work stuff until 2am). This resulted in 16 to 18 hour days. But I was content and happy. But now things are pretty different. Let's see today looked like the following:
  • 12:00 to 1:30 am - Worked on Maya Road catalogs
  • 1:30 to 2:15 am - Breastfed Jonathan
  • 2:15 to 3:00 am - Packaged items to ship to warehouse
  • 3:00 to 3:30 am - Bathed Jonathan and took a bath myself
  • 3:30 to 4:00 am - Quick Jonathan top-off before bed
  • 4:00 to 4:30 am - Cleaned up and put on sheets
  • 4:30 to 9:30 am - Blissful sleep for Mommy (baby got up at 8:30 am)
  • 9:30 to 9:45 am - Put Jonathan back to bed, kissed David goodbye
  • 9:45 to 10:15 am - Pumped milk while
  • 10:10 to 10:30 am - Reviewed about shipment from China
  • 10:10 to 10:30 am - Reviewed email and dealt with shipment from China
  • 10:30 to 11:15 am - Soothed a crying J getting up from his morning nap, moved him to swing, started breakfast
  • 11:15 to 11:45 am - Fed Jonathan
  • 11:45 to noon - Played with Jonathan on his favorite blanket Noon to 1:00 pm - Packaged samples for Memory Trends to send to Jessica (Jonathan napping), breakfast turned into lunch, ate lunch, J down for midday nap
  • 1:00 to 1:30 pm - Jonathan wakes up, plays in bouncy chair with me as we chat in Cantonese
  • 1:30 to 2:00 - Meet with leak detection guy, put Jonathan down for a nap
  • 2:00 to 2:45 - Feed Jonathan while working on catalog, read some news, got a call from FedEx to discuss problem with shipment in customs
  • 2:45 to 4:45 - Take J for a long walk with stops to the post office, the drugstore to pick up meds for his tummy, and a new book
  • 4:45 to 6:30 - Met with candidate to try to recruit her to our team (non-MR), fed J
  • 6:30 to 6:45 - Changed very messy diaper and had to strip down a very wet baby, tried to get J to sleep
  • 6:45 to 7:15 - Called Hong Kong to deal with a sticky customs situation at FedEx, listened to J fuss for about 15 minutes
  • 7:15 to 7:30 - Worked out on my elliptical with a screaming J strapped to my chest (he loves to hang with the Baby Bjorn facing out reading my magazine with me as I workout)
  • 7:30 to 8:00 - Ate dinner with David while trying to keep J calm in his swing
  • 8:00 to 8:30 - Pumped breastmilk while arranging for shipment of our goods and had David feed J
  • 8:30 to 9:00 - Made a tomato salad, watched How I Met Your Mother (great show), helped burp (see photo below)
  • 9:00 to 10:00 - Called China, Hong Kong, IMed with the factory to try to resolve the whole shipping situation
  • 10:00 to 11:30 - Worked on catalog pages and packing goods to ship to the warehouse 11:30 to midnight - Prepared to feed J again, finished up this blog entry… :)

So today, I changed 5 diapers, called 15 people in Hong Kong/China, walked a mile and a half, took about 60 photos of J and me throughout today to document the fun we had together, and slept 5 hours last night. On the good news front, I finally hit my pre-pregnancy weight today! Okay, so my weight fluctuates a lot, from 140 in the morning to 142.5 in the evenings. Not sure what is going on there, but since I was 140 before, I will take what I can get. Stop by and meet Jonathan and David at our Memory Trends booth (#221). J and N will be special guests at our booth for only a couple hours. Caroline and I are trying to decide when we want to have them come in.
