On Turning 30...
Yesterday, I turned the big 3-0. Thirty does not feel much different from being 29, though in my mind, it is a milestone that I have been thinking about for some time. Since college, I wondered where I would be at 30. And you know what? I cannot imagine having a better life than I do right now. I have been so blessed that I could not ask for more than everything I already have. So on this occasion, I want to stop and count my blessings:
- Thirty Things I Am Thankful For -
- A husband who loves me
- Wonderful and supportive parents
- A sister who doubles as a business partner
- A baby in my tummy due in July that we conceived the first month we started trying
- A grandmother who is 90 this year, and still going strong
- A job I really love that I can still learn a lot from
- A company that is growing in an industry I am passionate about
- A relationship with God and a church family
- Meeting the man of my dreams at 19 and spending the last 10 years together
- The ability to live within our means and enough money to not have to worry about it much
- An outlet for my creativity in designing my own line of products
- A 10-year old Toyota Corolla I bought used when I graduated from college that runs like new
- A scrapbook of memories I hope my grandchildren will cherish
- A comfortable bed to sleep in and the ability to fall asleep in minutes
- Living up in the freest country in the world
- Being able to beat my husband and his friends at Halo
- Never having broken a bone or becoming seriously ill
- A 5-year marriage that is as loving as the day it began
- Never having to wonder where my next meal will come from
- Knowing someone listens when I pray
- Unlimited hugs from a very hugable and affectionate husband
- Parents who made sure I learned Chinese from a young age
- A passport completely full from 10 years of world travels
- More scrapbook supplies than I can use in 2 lifetimes
- Knowing how to make a great lasagna
- A treasure trove of great photographs and memories
- Knowing that no matter what, I can always go home
- A body pillow my grandmother made that has been passed down to me
- Really knowing that I have everything I want in my life
- Each and everyday before and after today...
And this is what David bought me for my birthday! A 24-70mm Canon Lens! I cannot wait to play with it... I am a fiend for new electronic toys.

Happy Birthday! 30 - a wonderful milestone. One of my best girlfriends told me when I turned 30 a few years ago that I was now officially "in the club" and could now be let in on all the real secrets. LOL! Welcome to THE CLUB!

Okay, I am such a nerd! I just put "two and two" together! You are that ADORABLE girl I met at CHA in the Maya Road booth, right? I'm sure you met a zillion people that week, but I came back just raving about how friendly everyone at your booth was!
